Between 10 pm tonight, July 4 and 3 am tomorrow morning, July 5 the remaining Champlain Towers South structure will be demolished.
A “Shelter in Place Zone” has been set up north to 89th street, south to 86th street and west to Abbott Avenue and east to the beach.
Residents in that area should shelter in place starting now until two hours after the demolition.
Shelter in place means to remain in your home with windows and doors secured and any place where air can get in should be covered.
The detonation will cause dust to circulate throughout our neighborhoods.
Residents should also set their air conditioning units to recirculate.
