Today, #MDFR participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics hosted by @FIUPOLICE. We're proud to have taken part to help raise awareness for the Special Olympics alongside our public safety partners.

On May 12, #MDFR received two vehicles retrofitted to be used for the Peer Support Response K9 Team. #MDFR Capt. Shawn Campana and Interim Chief of Public Safety @AFreddyRamirez share the benefits of having these resources available for the Response K9 Team.

#ICYMI: Last week, #MDFR received two vehicles specially fitted for its peer support K-9 response team. The K-9 response team helps victims in crisis situations and helps first responders deal with occupational stress.

On May 13, #MDFR Battalion Chief Andrew Hook worked his final shift following 30 years serving in #OurCounty. A member of Recruit Class 68, Chief Hook spent his retirement shift in his original Metropolitan Dade County Fire Rescue uniform. We wish Chief Hook a #HappyRetirement!
